The Division 2: Season 9 starts this week

There will soon be more variety in “The Division 2,” as Season 9 “Hidden Alliance” will be released this week. Newcomers can participate in a free weekend.

Ubisoft will launch Season 9 of The Division 2, “The Hidden Alliance”, on May 12, 2022, which will be accompanied by the PvE mode “Countdown” and Title Update 15. The new season will be available to all players who own The Division 2 : The Warlords of New York.

Hidden Alliance brings with it a new enemy. With a new target, Captain Lewis, on the loose, the Division must gather intel and eliminate four high-ranking True Sons before confronting him.

The new co-op Countdown mode sends up to eight players into a powerhouse where they have 15 minutes to stabilize it and avoid a lockdown. Deployed in two teams of four, Agents start at different locations on the map and must work together to complete the challenge.

During this challenge, players will encounter familiar enemies that they must fend off in order to secure said power plant. At the end you have to call the evacuation helicopters before the time runs out.

Know-how as novelty

With “Skill” comes a new feature in the shooter: from May 12, it offers the possibility to improve equipment and upgrade basic values such as damage, armor and skills.

As a player, you can increase your skill by using each item in the game. The feature aims to give players the ability to increase the base stats of each individual item and reach a new performance limit.

You don’t have to do without new weapons and gear in the new season either: according to Ubisoft, the new update will contain a variety of new items, including the Heartbreaker gear set, new Exotics, new named objects and more. New rewards are added with the Season 9 Pass.
