Tennis legend Boris Becker has been in jail for a week. A London court sentenced him to two and a half years in prison for concealment of debts related to his bankruptcy. He had to start his punishment immediately.
It’s not an easy situation for him, but it’s not easy for his family either – especially his mother.
Boris Becker calls from jail for Mother’s Day
Elvira Becker has now commented on the current situation in the newspaper “Bild”. There she not only told how she was doing, but was also happy about a small gesture from her son – on yesterday’s Mother’s Day.
“He just called me. For Mother’s Day,” Elvira Becker said. A small glimmer of hope for the 86-year-old man. She seemed very happy with the phone call.

Mother and son are not doing very well
Nevertheless, she was also sad and upset in the conversation. She wasn’t doing so well either, she admitted. She means:
“What can I say? He’s my son…”
Boris Becker seems to feel the same. Because she gave insight into her imprisoned son’s state of mind: “How is he supposed to be?” He is in prison. And further: “We always got on well. Fortunately, the penalty is halved,” she continued.

Good friends take care of Elvira Becker
Elvira Becker’s daughter, Sabine, lives in Switzerland. And it will still be a long time before his son can be released from prison. Even with good conduct, it must serve at least 15 months. But 15 months is a long time during which Boris Becker and his mother cannot visit each other.
Until then, luckily, Elvira Becker has good friends around her who will take care of her.
Three more shows, then the “Dancing Star 2022” is finally set. These five couples still have a chance to win the title: Sarah Mangione and Vadim Garbuzov, René Casselly and Kathrin Menzinger, Amira Pocher and Massimo Sinató, Janin Ullmann and Zsolt Sándor Cseke as well as Mathias Mester and Renata Lusin. In the tenth edition of “Let’s Dance”, all duos must be on stage twice. In addition to the individual dances, the trio dance is also on the program today.
