- The AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT would be better than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.
- Early benchmark tests suggest a big leap in performance.
- The RX 6950 XT is said to be 13% more powerful than the previous RX 6900 XT model.
AMD’s latest graphics cards are rumored to be released on May 10, finally replacing the RX 6000 series and even surpassing Nvidia’s top-end model.
It has been suspected for some time that the new edition of the RX 6000 series should be significantly more powerful and the first benchmarks of the RX 6950 XT confirm this.
As Wccftech’s tests show, the RX 6950 XT is not only significantly better than the previous RX 6900 XT model, but also better than the RTX 3090 Ti, Nvidia’s current top model.
Up to 13% more power
In the “3DMark Time Spy” benchmark test, the RX 6950 XT scored 22,209 points, 6.5% higher than the RTX 3090 Ti with 20,855 points. The new edition might even be 13% more powerful than AMD’s current RX 6900 XT.
AMD RX 6×50 Series Values
The new edition of the RX 6000 series does so much better in the first tests.
This clearly shows that DirectX 12 performance at 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution is significantly superior with the new AMD graphics card.
The values are realistic
However, these values currently only make sense to a limited extent, as they are only synthetic benchmarks that could turn out differently in a real game.
With a jump in performance of around 13%, however, it would be clear why the RTX 6950 XT should have such high prices as the RTX 3090 Ti.
